Mid-Semester Fall 2014 Update

Hello all.

I'm realizing that it probably looks like I've given up.  I haven't.

Work and School is keeping me very busy, but thankfully I have a little time here and there to dedicate to learning a few things on my own, including Java, Git/Github, and hopefully Unity at some point this week.

While work on "Depth" and "Off the Wall" is currently at a stand-still,  I have been contributing to a much bigger project, collaborating with my school's "Game Development Club".  Hopefully sometime down the line I will get to share the progress we have been making on this game, all I can say right now is that it will be a mobile game in the style of "Temple Run".  This is where my interest in developing with Unity is coming into play.

I unfortunately have been getting into this really bad habit of coming up with new game ideas while I am at work... As it stands, my folder/notebook contains 8 blueprints for various ideas I've had.  Whether any of these will ever see the light of day remains to be seen, but working on my own projects will definitely be put off AT LEAST until the end of the semester.

In the meantime, I have been eyeballing the indie game scene a fair amount recently, and I have to say it is an exciting world to be a part of.  We have games like:

and many others all making huge waves in the community with their pending releases.  I strongly suggest you take a little time to explore the indie scene through Steam Greenlight and help some of these developers get their games out to the public.

Cheers,
